Over the past decade, as increasing the mining of large coalfield and deep coal seam in our country, and fully mechanized mining technology has developed, the number of mining face by fully mechanized high cutting is increasing year by year as well as production and economic efficiency increases.There are lots of research on fully-mechanized mining face system reliability in the thick coal seam, but the results of the research is more common in the thick coal seam caving mining, high cutting of fully mechanized mining face obtained continuous development only in recent years, but focus on less in terms of reliability.The mining equipments have made great progress, but because of the high cutting mining has the special environment of thick coal seam during the mining process, there are many unreliable factors, in order to high cutting mining safer,reliable, should strengthen the reliability research on the high cutting mining in thick seam.At present, there have been many high-yield high efficiency of fully mechanized mining face, but except the domestic and foreign high-yield and high efficiency face, there are still low part of the large mining height face in the production and availability to a certain degree of gap.This low part of the gap is just because of the low reliability of the system. Thus,to improve the reliability of the system is one of the important aspects to increase output of fully mechanized mining face effectiveness.In this paper, the key equipments of fully mechanized mining face system:hydraulic support, high-power shearer and ultra-heavy-duty scraper conveyor has been analyzed for their reliability. The solutions and technical measures have been discussed to improve the reliability of equipments and mining system. Reliability theory is applied to setup a model of fully mechanized high cutting mining face system reliability simulation. It is used to learn more about the system operating conditions, looking for weak links, and finding of fully mechanized high cutting mining face parameter optimization new method.
