Latex paint is one of the most popular dopes, and is one of the dope’s developmentdirections. Because of its elegant and refresh function, nonpoisonous, tasteless environmentproperty, the ratio in dopes is increasingly.Latex paint is based on synthetic resin, adding palette, padding and various accelerators.According to the mechanism of forming film and the properties and functions of components, wecan improve dope’s proprieties easily. According to various dopes, we also can improve dope’sproperties. But it is very complex and lengthy.With the development of computer technology, computer which is used to research system’sproperty is very vogue. Not only does it economize resources, but also it prognosticates somesystem’s properties. As computer has these advantages, computer simulation is a very importantmethod for systems analysis, and is widely applied to almost all the engineering fields.By the computer simulation of the process of forming film, this article gives us a betterunderstand of dope’s properties and the process of forming film. Some works have been done.1. The forming film process of latex paint has been described. Continuously by the programof VC++.In the simulation, computer will call random number according to the present time, and thendecide the site of random molecular latex, and make the simulation closely to reality. At the sametime, make the main direction of latex molecular direct down and solvent direct up. As the timegoing, the number of solvent molecule and the rate of it change. Finally, molecules pile up. Next,the program suspends some seconds, and goes into the second process-forming the film. As thethickness of film is so thin, the program amplifies the finally formed film.It has strong interaction in the process. The program also simulates the effect of solventdiffusivity、 temperature and the thickness of the boundary layer of atmosphere to the rate ofsolvent volatilize. It gives us virtual graphical interfaces, and every factor’s efforts to solventvolatilize will be seen clearly.This article selects some parameters and gives some graphics of simulations. It will help to further improve dope’s properties. As thread mechanism is used in program, it is convenient toimprove the program.2. Quantitative describing of resistance to water using the solution paramountThe Resistance to water is an important character to paint. Nowadays, the resistance towater given out, could be seen in many documents, and the correlation influencing factors aregotten from the experiment data. But almost none of the documents have given out a quantitativeanalysis. In my paper, I try to make out a model, which can express resistance to hydrolysisquantitatively.If an organic metrical try to solute in some solvent, the solution paramount between soluteand solvent should approach. That is, if the solution paramount has a far distance, the solutionwould be hard, even more none. It is said that if the solution paramount between coating andwater getting far, we can conclude that resistance to hydrolysis of coating is good. So aquantitative theory on resistance to hydrolysis is possible.The coating with different components is prepared and determined. The compositor of theirresistance to water is obtained from big to small. And the compositor of the solution paramountfrom different coatings also is arranged. Comparing to them, we find that there should to have aquantitative relationship exiting between resistance to hydrolysis and solution paramount. So wecan describe resistance to hydrolysis quantitatively with resistance to hydrolysis. This descriptioncan explain some influencing factors of resistance to hydrolysis reported before, such ashydrophilic colloid, some functional group, and cross-linking density. Therefore, it has somemeaningful to describe resistance to hydrolysis with solution paramount.
