This work briefly introduced the acetic acid production process and desulfurizationtechnology progress on decarburization, the application of NHD solvent desulfurizationdecarburization in industry, and the status, work principle and influence factors of screwcompressor in the application of refrigeration industry. This work mainly focused on the using ofthe York (wuxi) air conditioning refrigeration equipment Co.,LTD. of RWB screw compressorin daqing oil field chemical Co.,LTD. of the branch of acetic acid NHD scrubbing unit. Thetechnology principle of the acetic acid NHD scrubbing unit and the screw compressorrefrigeration were described,the performances of utilization of the screw compressor in ourdevice were evaluated.Comprehensive analysis and judgment were carried out on the basis of the problems existedin our screw compressor, such as the higher parameters of inspiratory pressure, exhaust pressure,motor current, unreached load of desulfurization decarburization and the design parameters foracetic acid NHD scrubbing unit. The feasibility of the design of heat exchanger was analyzedfrom the heat transfer angle, the factors and parameters that influenced the efficiency of screwcompressor cooling and the desulfurization decarburization of acetic acid NHD scrubbing unitwere studied. The possible strategies to improve the system performances were suggested in thiswork. First, by adjusting the system load of desulfurization decarburization in the processes,reasonable distribution of the heat load of acetic acid NHD scrubbing unit was achieved. Second,by accounting the amount of cooling water in the water circulating system of condenser, as wellas the evaluation of the effects of parameters on the screw compressor, innovation of thecondenser equipped on the screw compressor was carried out by increasing the pipeline pump toimprove the heat transfer effect. Other methods to reduce the adverse impact of the secondaryfactors to ammonia cold system were also adopted by the new automatic fatliquoring equipmentimplementation for realization of the oil on-line changing,which reduced the existence ofnon-condensable gas in systems. To overcome the drawbacks of the ammonia tanks structures,reasonable control of the solution level in the processes was done to enhance the heat transfereffect. The effect of whole technical reconstruction and the benefit were evaluated and analyzed.This work demonstrated that the improvement can meet the need of the production of aceticacid, and can provide qualified raw material gas for the production of acetic acid, fully meet therequirements of the enterprise’s profit maximization. Results of this work may pave ways for thebetter operations on the same type device of the acetic acid NHD scrubbing unit of the ammoniacooler.
