| The technology of static cooling dry cutting is the one kind of dry cutting. The principle represent as following: compress gas ionization, send it to the cutting area ,and then cool the cutting tool and the workpiece cutting parts. After all of this, there will generate the oxide film to lubricate scraps bottom and the former knife surface tool, then complete the whole cutting process. Titanium alloy TC11 has good creep resistance, thermal intensity properties and machinability in high temperature condition. Therefore, this articles used static cooling technology to cut TC11 titanium alloy, improve the cutting efficiency, surface machining quality and cutter durability, which has received the remarkable effects through experiments.The designed of static cooling dry cutting device system is based on the study of the static cooling dry cutting mechanism and the theory of gas discharge of Roy Thomson, which mainly includes electrostatic field device, the power supply device, compressed air device. The cutting test is carried out after studying the performance of TC11, which is analyzed on the basis of cutting tool material, cutter geometrical angles and cutting parameters. Compared with conventional cutting, the static cooling dry cutting can obviously reduce temperature of the cutting area, improve the surface of workpiece materials quality and the cutting force less than conventional cutting conditions. All of this is shown by the test results.The paper also adopted the analysis software of ABAQUS for static cooling dry cutting TC11 titanium alloy processes of finite element simulation. Compared the finite element simulation out cutting force with the actual cutting force, it is easy to research TC11 of titanium alloy cutting performance and other relevant factors influencing regularity and then and put forward some corresponding measures, which have great significance for directing in the future application. |
