Improve cutting performance of the titanium alloys is always one of the very complicated and urgent problems in aircraft, spacecraft and other manufacturing industries. Researches indicated that permeating suitable hydrogen in titanium alloys can improve the cutting performance . So the cutting research of titanium alloy TC4 with hydrogen is important and valuable. This article takes the cutting analysis of titanium alloy TC4 with hydrogen as the main object of study. Numerical simulation method, theoretical analysis and cutting experiment are applied in this research .The main research is the tendency of cutting force, cutting temperature and scrap shape along with the quantity of hydrogen in TC4 titanium alloy. The major works are included as : Based on the finite element theory, the author provides the FE cutting model, uses the ABAQUS software to simulate, according to the workpiece and tool's material changing with temperature, changing the friction type, defining the chip separating law, subdividing the local parts. After the FEA the tendency of the cutting force, the cutting temperature and scrap shape along with the including quantity of hydrogen in titanium alloy TC4 are revelated. The orthogonal cutting experiments are done to denote the rules of the relations between quantity of hydrogen and the cutting force, the cutting temperature and scrap shape. The results of FEA are compared with the experimental data ,and the comparing result validates the veracity and feasibility of FEA...
