City develop was infected by natural disaster with certain destructive effect andbinding character.Earthquake is infected with city sustainable developmenttremendous in kind of natural disaster. City develop add to enhance populationdensity、building density and economic density,that city society and economy haveaffected by earthquake,in other hands city will enhance defend ability to earthquake.so,this is a tremendous question we must deal with how city sustainable developunder earthquake criticality.This paper analyzes the issue through qualitative and quantitative researchmethods and the urbanization natural disaster theoretical knowledge combined withTarim Basin’s development status and it was found that they indicated the presenceof binding charater between the Urbanization and earthquake. Analysis obtained:(1)Korla City’s urbanization comprehensive level is highest, Kashgar City、Aksu Cityand Hotan City is higher, Taxkorgan County and Moyu County is lowest. KorlaCity’s urbanization comprehensive level is marked off four classes, that is lowestlevel、low level、medial level and high level.(2)Earthquake character is frequencyhigh and strength heavy, distribute extensive, major in bound fraction of TarimBasin with Tianshan Mountains、 Kunlun Mountains and Altun Mountains,presenting taenioid distribute.Earthquake cycle have obvious active period and quietperiod, Tarim Basin earthquake criticality peresting west to east and south to northgradually imperfect regular pattern.(3)Earthquake criticality with urbanizationcomprehensive of31city in Tarim Basin between0.02to0.99, it’s change range islarge, binding character is divided by four classes, strength and more strengthbinding is major. Finally, this paper pose three urbanization develop model withearthquake criticality in Tarim Basin, it’s human habitat optimize urbanizationdevelop model、“large+medioce+small” urbanization develop model and“express+highest+measurale” urbanization develop model.
