Health products with Anti-distortion can prevent cells cancerizing and reduce theside effects of patients during radiation with cancer. The products can also avoid allkinds of cells distortion and radiation damage caused by chemical and physical factorsas well as play a protective important role in distortion damage for astronauts,radiation instrument workers, nuclear submarine and people work in nuclear weapons,nuclear power plants and other special conditions. So research on developing all kindsof cells protectant and helth products with high-efficiency have been a hot spot inpreventing cell distortion and cancer.In this study protective effects of ten plant extracts and some extractcombinations against Mitomycin C induced genotoxicity by umu test in S.typhimuriumTA1535/pSK1002were assayed. Based on the results, it is clearly proved that theSOS/umu is not only a useful and convenient(an effective) way to evaluate the abilityof antimutagenic for plant extracts, but also can be used as a kind of cytoprotector forrapid screening method to achieve the High Throughput Screening of candidateextracts. Based on this an health products with significang anti-distortion wasdeveloped. The main research conclusions are as follows.:Firstly, research shows that the SOS/umu screening test for garlic, grape seed,green tea, thorn five plus and soybean extract has better antioxidant mutations ability;When acanthopanax senticocous extract effective content concentration reach1.5g/L,the MMC for hereditary toxicity inhibition rate is67.12%; and plant extractscombination is obviously superior to a single plant extracts of cells of distortion ability,especially combinations of green tea extract and Acanthopanax senticosus extractreached an inhibitory rate of genotoxic damage as high as82.73%. Animalexperiments show that through the SOS/umu screening test for the candidate cellsprotectants green tea and sting five plus combination can significantly reduce things under the action of MMC mice micronucleus rate and sperm aberration rate andgreatly improve the thymus index. This all for research and development of new cellsto provide protective of high speed and high efficiency screening system, open up thenatural plant extracts combination of the market potential, to find new cells protectantsanti-cancer drugs and has a guiding role.Secondly, based on toxicity tests---SOS/umu and combined with animalevaluation experiment, the present study has screened several plant extracts and theircombination which have significant anti-aberration. A kind of health care yogurt withthe function of anti-aberration has been developed which took acanthopanaxsenticocous, green tea, grape seed extract as raw materials and combined with milkand suga. Meanwhile,single factor test and orthogonal test were employed to optimizethe health yougurt and the optimum condition for yogurt are as follows: plant extractscombination is15%(v:v) of the total amount of the products, sucrose9%, acidbacterium4%and ferment at44℃f or6h.Meanwhile, the chemical andmicrobiological for the products were carried out at the same. The acidity:76°T,protein content:2.8%, fat content>2.5%, living bacterium number:9.5×108cfu/ml.Pathogenic bacteria were not detected. All the products quality were conformed thestate standards.Thirdly, the mice treated by the MMC were fed with health care yogurtexperiment and the results showed that the products can significantly improved theability of anti-distortion of mice. The born marrow polychromalic erythrcytes (PCE)in mice was just3.75‰, the thymus index was4.02and the sperm abnormality ratewas15.47%after taking0.2ml/10g by gavage method for a week continuously.Resistance to aberration effect of the experimental group was better than effectsignificantly better than ordinary yogurt, Yi li yogurt, Guang ming yogurt and controlgroup.
