Activated carbon is an excellent porous adsorbent material, and its widelyapplied in many fields of multiple production and livingIn this study, the activated carbons were prepared from the hair by Microwave-H3PO4and Microwave-ZnCl2. Through single factor experiments, the effects ofphosphate concentration, power, microwave irradiation time, carbonization-activationtemperature of activated carbon of the adsorption of methylene blue and iodine werestudied.By orthogonal experimental study found that various factors on the activatedcarbon iodine value of the order from largest to smallest are: phosphoric acidconcentration>carbonation activation temperature>microwave power>microwaveirradiation time;product methylene blue adsorption value of the order from largest tosmallest: The carbonation activation temperature>phosphate concentration>microwave irradiation time>microwave power. To optimize the conditions ofphosphoric acid-microwave preparation of activated carbon. The processingconditions were obtained: phosphate concentration is 30%, the power of microwaveis 450 W, microwave radiation time is 5 min, carbonization-activation temperature is250℃。The iodine adsorption value is 611mg/g and methylene blue adsorption valueis 83 mg/g.Prepared activated carbons by Microwave-ZnCl2, the influencing factors of theadsorption of methylene blue and iodine is unanimous. The order from largest tosmallest are: phosphoric acid concentration>carbonation activation temperature>microwave power>microwave irradiation time. This activated carbon is good atadopting methylene blue. At the satiations of: phosphate concentration is 30%, thepower of microwave is 600 W, microwave radiation time is 5 min, carbonization-activation temperature is 250℃,getted activated carbons The methylene blueadsorption value is 127 mg/g.Carried out a series ways to characterize the activated carbon obtained underoptimal conditions by Microwave-H3PO4and Microwave-ZnCl2.The BET surface andpore size distribution were estimate; the type of the adsorption isotherm line isdetermined; the SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) is also used to investigate themorphology of the activated carbon. The results showed that: SBETof hair-based activated carbon prepared under optimalconditions by Microwave-H3PO4is 865m2/g; the Adsorption-desorption isotherms isstyleⅠ, activated carbon porous structure developed; The DFT (density functional theory) is used to stimate the surface area and pore size distribution。The results showthat the activated carbon with predominant microporous structures below 2 nm, andthe peak aperture, respectively, 0.5 nm, 0.7 nm, 1.1 nm and 1.6 nm near a dominantposition. Due to the presence of microporous, the activated carbon with excellentadsorptive capability; SEM scanned images show that activated carbon surface issmooth and pores distributing uniform. Activated carbon prepared byMicrowave-ZnCl2under optimal conditions has the styleⅡof Adsorption-desorption isotherms. The SBET is 635 m2/g,the pore size distribution of activatedcarbons is in 1-10 nm, the mesoporous is dominant.Using the activated carbon prepared under optimum conditions do the researchof adsorption experiment by the dye Reactive Brilliant Blue P-3R、Acid rose red andDisperse Brilliant Blue E-4R. Inspected the impact of dosage of activated carbon, thePH value of the solution, the temperature of the solution and the adsorption time todye removal rate. The results show that: the activated carbon can remove brilliant blueP-3R and Acid rose red effectively, the average removal rate is higher, while theremoval of Disperse Brilliant Blue E-4R is ineffective.
