GNSS antenna covers GNSS satellite antenna and GNSS receiver antenna. Asthe terminal equipment, its positional calibration accuracy of received signal andtransmit largely effects the navigation accuracy. GNSS measurement, includingpseudo-range and carrier phase observation, is the distance between phase center ofsatellite antenna and phase center of receiver antenna. Satellite mass center andreceiver antenna reference point (ARP) are used as reference in GNSS data processing.Consequently, the antenna phase center correction should be considered in GNSS dataprocessing.GNSS antenna phase center correction including mean phase center offset withrespect to the ARP or the mass of satellite, i.e. PCO, and the variation to the meanphase center with respect to the satellite elevation and azimuth angle, i.e. PCV. Ingeneral, the different type of antennas have different phase center model, and thesame type of antennas have similar PCO and PCV, although they still related to theshape or material of the antenna housing and so on. With the development rapidly ofnavigation system, the use of the GNSS antenna types which are made in our countryare more and more, so we hope that we can establish the GNSS antenna phase centercorrection model by ourselves and add to the data processing, in order to get thehigher precision of GNSS navigation, positioning and orbit determination.furthermore, servicing to GNSS application of high precision, such as earthquake andgroundwater monitoring and so on,promoting the development of navigation.The paper mainly aims to establish the GNSS antenna phase center correctionmodel by ourselves, combining to the regional covering condition of navigationsystem for our country at present. From the four aspects, by analyzing and studyingthe necessity of modeling, designing the modeling theory scheme, and carrying outthe modeling experiments on the basis of the scheme, we have established the GNSSantenna phase center correction model:1、Providing an outline of the GNSS antenna phase center, the GNSS antennatypes, the relation of the receiver antenna phase center and satellite in orbit antennaphase center, the correlation of the PCO and the PCV and so on, we have explainedthe research background, discussed the significance of modeling the GNSS antenna phase center correction, and analyzed the research status domestic and overseas,finally presented the main research work.2、Based on the investigation report of the GNSS antenna phase center correctionmodel, we have summarized many calibration methods of GNSS antenna phase centeroffset and variation, compared and analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of themethods, and represented the calibration strategy of the satellite in orbit antennaphase center variation. It established the foundation of building the model that issuited to our country satellite antenna phase center correction.3、Using the foreign calibration method of the antenna phase center correctionand IGS antenna phase center model for reference, combining our country navigationsystem stations which are the regional coverage status, we have designed theprocedure to calibrate antenna phase offsets and variations, and established a set ofGNSS antenna phase center model, which is compared the result with the IGS08model, the precision is better to3mm. Further, we have added the model to theGAMIT to solute baseline, and compared the result with solution by IGS08model andevaluated precision. Result shows that our method of building antenna phase centercorrection model is feasible, to a certain extent, the precision of our model is evenhigher than the one of IGS08model.4、Starting with the satellite antenna phase center offset and variation andsatellite masses. By the IGS08model as the reference, we have discussed the effectsof the satellite antenna phase center correction on orbit determination from thed-radial, d-along, d-cross and precision by many tests. Further, it has proved theimportance of the study on the GNSS antenna phase center correction.Base on the above study and method, we hope to build the antenna phase centercorrection model that is fit to our country Compass. The establishment of GNSSantenna phase center correction model will contribute to our country navigationsystem flourishing development.
