As revolution and progress of the world’s science and technology, the uraniumplays a more important role in the national economyand the power competition on theworld stage. To maintain the sustainable economic development and reduce green-house gas emissions,more and more countries choose nuclear power to replace tradi-tional fossil fuels. Nuclear power isin the development, which inspire a very big de-mand for uranium resources. From the current situation of Chinese uranium resources,it has proven that uranium resources are difficult to support large scale developmentof nuclear power for the medium and long term resource requirements. To meet theneeds of uranium resources for the nuclear power development, the government hasgave attaches great importance to the exploration of uranium resources to increase theintensity of domestic uranium exploration, improve the security of nuclear power de-velopment by domestic uranium resourcesexploration.With the near surface uranium deposit is increasingly dried up, the increasingdemands for uranium resources in the economic development and prospecting workthorough, the deep concealed uranium exploration is very important. Now it is gener-ally accepted that the deep prospecting potential is tremendous, it had been explored4uranium depositin500~1000m depth of Jiangxi and Guangdong provinces. As a neweffective method, geogas measurement technology is of great significance in search-ing for concealed mineral resources, and has shown good prospecting results.With support of the project of The National Natural Science Foundation of China:“the geogasfield study onconcealed geological bodies and fracture”(project Numbers: 41074094),and the key project of natural science of education ministry of Sichuanprovince “research of geogas field on the concealed metallica deposits”(ProjectNumbers:10ZA118), and on the demand of deep concealed deposits prospecting, thepaper start a research of geogas prospecting on great depth uranium ore.According to the predecessors’ work, the explorationof fracture structurealtera-tion, which is inTongcheng County of Hubei Province the LiJiaduan uranium explo-ration area, has shown gamma anomalies. The next step of prospecting direction isdeep concealed deposits. Becausesurface vegetation is lush in exploration areas,where are lack of direct prospecting criteria. It israther difficult to search for deepconcealed deposits.The geogas measuring method with the characteristics of deepprobing anddirect indication of mineralization, good environmental adaptability, sim-ple samplingoperation, independent ofthecovering layer.So geogas measurement inthe area of comprehensive geophysical method is chosen to carry out deep metalo-genic information detection, study the information ofdeepmineralization in the thisarea.Aim at control of favorableore-formingstructurein the explorationarea, seven ex-ploration lines with the length of3710meters are set up in four key areas. Totallyitcompleted506geogas measuring points to get geogas and soil geochemical measure-ments information.Eachgeogas sampleanalysis of39kinds of elements,and each soilsample analysis of30kinds of elements. At the same time frequency stimulate elec-tricity measurement is progressedon number5exploration lines, and65points fourdepth detection work are completed.Meanwhile41points are chosen to carry outgeogasmeasurement repeatedly in48#exploration lines,39kinds of elements are ana-lyzedeach samples, then a total of1599sets of data are obtained. According to geogasmeasurements, eightanomaly regions of geogas measuring result have been found onthefour exploration lines.Then the obtain information is comprehensively analyzed, inorder to find out the most advantageous prospecting target areas and to guide for fur-ther prospecting work.The results of the thesis were summarized as follows:1. According tocompilingprofile map of the geogas measurement in theexplora-tion area and soil Uas well as the anomalous criteria obtained by the target elementU,eightanomaly regions of geogas have been found on thefourexploration lines.Bycomparison, there is a corresponding relationship between the upper part of knownore body and the geogas anomaly, which showed that the geogas measuring method is a effective prospecting method in the LiJiaduan exploration area.2. Through cluster analysis, correlation analysis and comprehensive analysis ofother data, we can not only determine whether mineralization anomalies or abnormalfracture, but also to find a good mineralization area, which provides the basis for fur-ther prospecting work in this area.3.Preliminary studies confirmed thatcomprehensive use of geogas measurement,soil geochemical survey and amplitude frequency induced dipole method is feasible todetect concealed uranium deposits, and the effectiveness is verified.
