In Xinjiang Taxkorgan area a series of large-scale iron ore deposits have been foundduring recent years, such as the LaoBing-ZouKeben, Qiaopukalimo, YeLike iron deposit. Those various geological characteristics are substantially similar, and they mainly occurin the wide Buren Le biotite quartz schist rock group lithologic volcano-sedimentary-metamorphic magnetite bed, ore type is more complex, widely developed inthe gypsum magnetite ore, forming a a special cream iron construction. The study area islocated in the western Kunlun Mountains of eastern Pamirs, the tectonic position of thenorthern margin of the Qiangtang block taxkorgan land mass, total area of18.42km~2.Main ancient Proterozoic and Lower Paleozoic strata exposed, and strong tectonicmagmatic activity, excellent conditions for mineralization. The results and conclusions of this research are mainly listed as follows:1) Iron ore body in the region and the ore-bearing strata were conformable contact, gradual transition relations, combined with volcanic sedimentary basin formation andevolution of research that closely related to the iron minerals in the region sourcesubmarine volcanic activity, terrigenous clastic sediments in the iron played a very crucialrole in the qualitative enrichment precipitation process, the high-grade ore formation ofsedimentary environment on the shore shallow water.2) We speculate that the mine magnetite iron ore deposits in the region of massivemagnetite ore oxygen isotope test, its contents ranging between+3.3~+4.6‰, combinedwith the relevant information and data should be mainly original sedimentary formationof magnetite, metamorphism during the formation of the iron ore played a furtherenrichment, go grams of the iron ore genetic type of marinevolcano-sedimentary-metamorphic magnetite bed late metamorphism superimposition.3)After studying seam (Pt1B1a2) chlorite magnetite, calcite, magnetite ore-bearinghorizon (Pt1B1a4) the amphibolite magnetite ore-bearing horizon (Pt1B1a6), gypsummagnetite ore-bearing horizon (Pt1B1b2), yellow ferromagnetic iron ore containing theseam (Pt1B1b4)5prospecting importance of magnetite ore-bearing horizon, we haveidentified some of their the common features as follows: iron ore layer in the structure ofthe sedimentary sequence conversion surface or near; each mine ore-bearing strata aremore or less containing pyrite, supergene weathering and oxidation of sulfur in the pyriteprecipitation staining or part of the formation of jarosite, resulting in ore-bearing horizonoverall yellow, these commonalities become typical prospecting one of the signs.4) Through examining the ground magnetic we have found six magnetic anomalies with surface mineralization characteristics of the preliminary view, and we come up witha elementary conclusion that the mine has a large potential for prospecting miningoperations.5) X-ray diffraction analysis of mining ore samples have shown its contents aremainly magnetite (39%), gypsum (19%), quartz, mica and other minerals. The singlemineral analysis showed that the iron content of about71%, and most of the iron is hostedin magnetite. Relevant research data and analysis results have shown the district’smagnetite ore are easy to collect, and one can achieve a higher recovery rate, with goodprospects for the development and utilization.
