Groundwater is closely related with people’s lives and production. So that exploregroundwater resources distribution is an important factor of human production and lifeTraditional ways to find groundwater resources are blind, but remote sensing technology forauxiliary means overcomes the traditional search for groundwater resources blindness. Itprovides a convenient and effective way to investigate the distribution of groundwaterresources, and saves the funding and manpower resources. This paper studies the characteristics of Aster data, and the application in the inversion ofthe groundwater model. Aster data is superiority in having a larger single view Surface range(60km scan width) suitable spatial resolution (15-30m-90m), a higher spectral resolution (14bands covering the visible, infrared and far-infrared wavelength range).so Aster data is usedmore and more widely in the groundwater inversion. After a series of processing in the data, Ishould establish the groundwater inversion model, for example NDVI vegetation indexinversion of groundwater and spectral identification of groundwater. Next I make use of themodel of the relationship between each factor to inform the enrichment region of groundwater.Last I map by ENVI and ARCGIS software. The establishment of the groundwater resources distribution by analyzing Aster data isthe basis for future groundwater resources.Further analysis,Study area is still recharge andbalance area and surface water and groundwater resources is still some available potential. Sothat systematic investigation of groundwater resources distribution in Bai Yanghe northerndepression is one of the basic works at Xinjiang He Shentuoluogai coal field. The work isgreat practical significance.
