Dandong City is located in a seismic zone on the Korean Peninsula, which has beenaffected by earthquake disasters many times in history, recently small earthquakesappeared frequently, Dandong suffered VI degree of damage from the earthquakes witha magnitude of6in Yalu River in1944and with a magnitude of7.3in Haicheng in1975. Due to the impact of strong earthquake zone of the Yalu River, in all theprevious national seismic zoning, Dandong Donggang has been classified as danger zonewith VIII degree. In the coming decades, Liaoning Province is still in the period ofseismic activity, the strong earthquake in this area and its adjacent areas will inevitablyimpact on the Dandong area. Protecting against and mitigating earthquake is veryimportant in the face of severe earthquake situation in Dandong area, while carrying outthe earthquake characteristics research in Dandong and establishment of platformexpress of post-earthquake trend is an essential basic work in rotecting against andmitigating earthquake.The characteristics of earthquake in Dandong and quick evaluation ofpost-earthquake trend,which is the issues concerned by the leaders at all levels, is anecessary work that Dandong earthquake workers must be solved.In this paper,collecting the research results of previous studies, it focuses on the the geologicalstructure、the changes of regional geophysical field、the activity of the main fault zoneand the impact of Dandong, earthquake rupture mode in Dandong. At the same time, onthe basis, it made the in-depth analysis of earthquake activity characteristicsof,dandong area, providing decision reference for post-earthquake trend judgement.The main results of the paper are as follows:1、It established the repository of historical earthquakes and modern earthquakecases in Dandong and surrounding areas.2、It established the geographic databases in Dandong and surrounding areas.3、It established the calculation methods of tool library like the methods foridentifying earthquake sequence types、seismic sequence analysis methods、aftershocksmagnitude prediction methods、aftershocks continued time prediction methods and soon.4、It established the computer system integration platform of quick evaluation ofpost-earthquake trend palns, and it formed database based on GIS geographicinformation、repository of earthquake cases、windows application software system ofquick evaluation of post-earthquake trend.Computer system integration platform of quick evaluation of post-earthquake trendthat have already been built, filled up the blank of evaluation of post-earthquake trend in Dangdong,improving the ability to identify the all kinds of sequence types and quickevaluation of post-earthquake trend in Dangdong area. This paper prospective study thatgive the opinions (history earthquake situation、maximum possible earthquake type、Possible seismogenic faults) of quick evaluation of post-earthquake trend in fiveminitues, and give the seismic datas generated automatically, and opinion documents ofquick evaluation of post-earthquake trend in ten minitues, provided the basis forpost-earthquake emergency consultation.
