Family-Based Association Analysis And Its Applications

Statistical methods have played a very important role in process of development ofgenetics. The family-based association analysis has many advantages over theindividual-based association analysis. It can effectively reduce the effect ofpopulation stratification to the association analysis. In this paper, we first review theexisting family-based association analysis methods, then we give detailed comparisonamong them. Moreover, we apply the FBAT method into a real data set and to test theperformance of it.
