Silicate minerals are the main rock-forming minerals and the main componentsof igneous rocks, sedimentary rocks and metamorphic rocks, which are the importantraw material used in industrial production. During geological work and industrialproduction, the sample component shall be analyzed to be understood the changingand movement regularity of elements in the crust, the centralization anddecentralization of elements, magma sources and possible mineral ore, and to besolved the lithofacies zonation and to be elucidated the formation of rocks, rock andmineral named identification and the rational and effective utilization in industrialproduction. The complex operation process of the traditional chemical analysismethod takes long-term analysis cycle, large labor intensity and the analysis resultswill be influenced by analysis and various reagents. The advantages of X fluorescencespectrometry are simple sample preparation, rapid analysis, well reproducibility, lowcost for analysis of multiple element groups simultaneously, which is widely used inthe analysis of silicate rock. The X fluorescence was applied powder pelleting methodto assist the chemical method to analyze, detect previously. However, the powderpelleting method exists inevitable certain granularity and mineral effect in the analysis,so the accuracy of the results will be affected seriously. The fusion sample preparationmethods shall be applied by analysis of X ray fluorescence spectrometer, which cannot only eliminate the granularity effect in the presence of pelleting method, but alsoeliminate the mineral effect basically on the analysis result. Meanwhile, during thepreparation process, it takes less reagent, low cost, simple process and rapid analysisso that liberate labor greatly, and the analysis results can be comparable to those ofchemical analysis. This paper takes Li2B4O7and LiBO2(The mass ratio of67:33)as solvent, andadds LiNO3as oxidant, LiBr as stripping agent and uses glass melt piece by meltingproduction. The major components content of silicate (SiO2, Al2O3, TFe2O3, MgO,CaO, Na2O, K2O, MnO, TiO2, P2O5) shall be analyzed by Japanese science Primus ⅡX ray fluorescence spectrum analyzer simultaneously, which is obtained thesatisfactory results. A large number of experimental data shows that it is feasible touse Japanese science PrimusⅡ X ray fluorescence spectrum analyzer to analyze themajor components content of silicate simultaneously.
