As it costs too much time and labor in positioning the placement of flight body by theartificial methods, and because of various situations during the flight trial period, such asdeviation from the preset orbit or dropped down on the half way, these will cause the flightbody flight abnormal, the placement location is more difficult to find out. Therefore it isurgent to propose an effective method of positioning the placement of the flight body anddesign the responding system for the placement of the high-speed flight body.In this paper, The research is mainly focused on the Global Positioning System(GPS)technology, Geographic Information System(GIS), technology, electronic technology andmodern communication technology, etc, by analysis and comparison various positioningmethods, ultimately the GPS positioning method is determined. According to the principle ofGPS and the norm of positioning system. The positioning system for high-velocity flight bodyis designed, which including the GPS receiver module, wireless transmission module and PCdisplay module. The system is divided into the carrier part and the PC part. The carrier partreceive the location information of the target point by the Trimble Lassen IQ GPS receiver,then the information is send through JZ873wireless module. After the JZ878wirelessmodule in the PC part receive the information, the RS232interface will transmit theinformation to the map display system for display.According to the overall design framework of the high-velocity flight body positioningsystem, this project also made a detailed design on the PC display system. By using theGIS-related technology to shape the regional electronic map, then with the Microsoft VisualBasic6.0development environment, the electronic map is completed and so realized the basic operations of the electronic map,such as data storage and data viewing, data display on themap,the communication between the PC part and the carrier part, etc. The PC display systemas a multi-function system such as a set of data acquisition, data storage, data display andoutput, can analysis and process the received signal and display the location of the target inthe electronic map.The debugging of the overall system has finished, the results shows that the Positiondisplay system can display several flight bodys’ geographic information in the map, theoverall system is running stable and meet the precision requirement.
