The basis of the examination on highway geologic hazards, achieve the roads andgeological-disaster warning and divisions of hazardous of road-disaster is highwaygeologic hazards data, which contains the basic geographic data reflecting thetopography, traffic, weather, the socio-economic data reflecting the status of theeconomy and population, the geological data reflecting the geological structure,hydrogeology and formation rocks of the district and the thematic data of geologicaldisaster about morphology, monitoring, prevention and control of geological disasteroccurred in the region. How to organize these extensive and complex data plays agreat significance. Traditional entity-relationship model is difficult to express theinterrelationships among the highway geologic hazard data. The object-orientedexpress all things in the real world as objects, and consider that the objective world iscomposed with many objects and interrelation among them. Vast symbols and lexicalleads the semantic relationship between the business data to express more clearly,which make up the defects of the entity-relationship model and becomes a betterchoice of database modeling of highway geologic disasters.Firstly, use the object-oriented to analyze the database of highway geologichazard in Guizhou, analyze the relationship among the basic data entities ofmonitoring and forecasting on highway geological disaster in Guizhou, since thedatabase is mainly used for centralized management of Guizhou highway geologichazard data and support the data to highway geological hazard warning of Guizhou,and at last, establish the basic data entity model of highway geological hazardwarning. Secondly, based on the model we classified, abstracted and generalized theentity data of the database just use the way of object-oriented. Then found to obtainthe level of logical structure of the geological disaster database. At last, based up onthe data contained in data entities and the level of logical structure of database, anduse the unified modeling language to construct the mainly structure of data class ofthe database and the relationship among them, in order to set up the logical model ofthe database. This data model has better scalability, can ensure data completeness, consistency, and also better reflect the relationship among the various data content onsemantics.At the end of study we choose Microsoft SQL Server&ESRI ARCGIS SDEplatform to build the Highway geological disaster database, which was applied inmonitoring and forecasting system of highway geological disaster in Guizhou, basedupon this mode. The results of this study makes the huge mass disaster data ofGuizhou Province better service in the field of geological disasters, and provides agood data base for the information construction of highway geological hazard warning,highway construction, operation and management of Guizhou.
