Thus, discussion of relations between urbanization and climate change has become a hotspot of research on urbanization and climate change. This article mainly studies climate change and urban heat island effect in Tianjin,by using methods of linear trend analysis, contour analysis, correlation analysis andregression analysis. The results of this article show that:(1) From1961to2010, forTianjin, there was a significant upward trend in air temperature, a downward trend inprecipitation and a significantly decreasing trend in number of sunshine hours;(2)Flood season and dry season precipitation trend opposite in Tianjin. Flood seasonprecipitation had a decreasing trend, while dry season precipitation had an increasingtrend;(3) Urban heat island effect in Tianjin has been stable and continued tostrengthen;(4) To some extent, urban heat island effect played a catalytic role inincreasing in precipitation of city center;(5) Development of urbanization had asignificant impact on the strengthening of urban heat island effect.
