Research on Acoustic Radiation of the Submerged Shell Structure can providetheoretical basis for target recognition and feature extraction. Paper mainly makes a study ofscalar and vector properties of acoustic radiation under the point excitation. Taking sphericalshell, cylindrical shell and ring-stiffened cylindrical shell that ends with caps for example byanalytical method and finite element method, make a research of scalar and vectorproperties of acoustic radiation. Paper mainly follows four aspects:Firstly, make a study of acoustic radiation of spherical shell and cylindrical shell underthe point excitation by deducing sound radiation of sound pressure and particle velocityfrom the theory. According to scalar and vector properties and relation of sound pressureand particle velocity, characteristic of sound acoustic is obtained, which is also simulated byMATLAB.Secondly, make a study of acoustic radiation of ring-stiffened cylindrical shell thatends with caps under the point excitation. After processing the shell model of ANYSYS,resonant frequency and sound pressure diagram of the shell can be obtained, also soundpressure level and other characteristically indices obtained through acoustic formula, scalarand vector properties of sound acoustic are simulated through MATLAB.Finally, experiment should be designed. Submerged ring-stiffened cylindrical shell thatends with caps is excited under one point source. Sound pressure and particle velocitydirectivity are measured by vector array with eight Sensors, and then measured of soundpressure and particle velocity change with distance, also compared results with theorysimulation.
