There two parts in this thesis.The first part is devoted to discuss Hawking radiation and information puzzle.The second part is devoted to discuss the Casimir effect.This thesis is shown in three chapters.In Chap.1,we firstly summarize the history and some fundamental conceptions and conclusions about black hole thermodynamics.Then we introduce some typical methods to calculate the Hawking radiation from black holes.In section 1.3,we introduce the information puzzle problem.In 1976,the Hawking radiation was discovered,it not only makes the four laws of black hole mechanics become the four laws of black hole thermodynamics.However,it also brings the significant problem of information puzzle,which has not been solved totally until now,into the theoretical physics.Recently years,many scholars made lots of effort in this field,and give some possibly explanations about the information puzzle.In the last section of this chapter,we describe two methods to deal with this problem——the tunneling model proposed by Parikh and Wilczek and Hamilton-Jacobi method.In Chap.2,considering energy conservation and the particles' back reaction to space- time,we again discuss the information puzzle.Dirac particles' Hawking radiation from a Schwarzschild black hole and scalar particles' Hawking radiation from a BTZ black hole were investigated using Damour - Ruffini method in Section 2.1 and Section 2.2,respectively.The exact expression of the emission rate near the horizon is obtained and the result indicates that Hawking radiation spectrum is not purely thermal any more.The result obtained is consistent with the previous literatures.In Chap.3,we introduce the general conceptions of Casimir effect firstly. Two usual sucessful methods named mode summation and Green's function to calculate Casimir effect are given.Then,we investigate the Casimir effect of massive scalar field with hybrid boundary condition in 1+1 dimensional spacetime using two different methods.It is found that the regularized zero-point energy is dependent on the scalar field's mass.
