Attitude determination by GPS has the advantages that the error of results does notaccumulating with time on, and the attitude information can be provided for long time.However, by the limitation of the signal-transition error, the electromagnetism distortion andthe precision of attitude arithmetic the determination precision always does not to oursatisfaction. Therefore, the designation of new method based on error analysis will be valuefor improving the precision of attitude determination.This dissertation has done the researches on the GPS based attitude determination, theinteger ambiguity exact resolution in carrier phase observation and the decorrelation effect ofinteger ambiguity solution in high dimensional. At the same time, a simulation testing systemis designed to check the validity of attitude determination approaches.All the works done is as follows:(i) A direct method for attitude determination has beenpromoted which is based on the researches and analysis about the error in observationequation. And this new approach can make the precision of attitude determination to a highlevel, in the same time the real-time determination can be used.(ii) By analyzing the integerambiguity success rate, a method improving the rate has been found, that is decorrelation ofcovariance matrix.(iii) Focus on the high dimension ambiguity in attitude determination, thestudy on double-differ ambiguity solution by LAMBDA method in high dimensionalapplication has been done. And the reason for the LAMBDA method invalidation has beenfound.(iv) Aiming at the complicacy and particularity in GPS based attitude testing, asimulation testing platform has been designed, which solved the problem for testing attitudedetermination method. And the real-time calculating precision can be known in differentmovement state of carrier.After the analyzing of double-differ equation, the designation of attitude determinationapproach, and the research of high-dimensional ambiguity solution, the validation ofimpression and the analysis of error have been taken on the new attitude determinationapproach. The result with the error totally shows that the precision repaired in static reachedto10-4 deg and which in dynamic is10-2 deg. It is proved that the remained error andcommonality error do effect on the result of attitude and can not be ignored. All the researchesabove show that the works in this dissertation have an upper direction effect and a good valuein the practice application.
