Attitude determination on dynamic carrier is currently a hotspot in applying Global Positioning System (GPS). Due to the maturation of measurement technology, this application has been proved successful in practice. In domestic, research on attitude determination is at the beginning, so it is necessary to speed up the development of GPS attitude determination system, including not only algorithm research but also software/harware system design. Aiming at the two-antennae GPS attitude determination receiver, this paper discusses some principles and introduces a method that has lower cost and higher flexibility, namely the design method to measure the carrier attitude using two-antenna detached Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) receiver. This article firstly explains the theory of GPS system and the parts of GPS receiver, and then introduces the principle of determination carrier attitude using carrier phase, especially lays stress on the difference model algorithm using two-antenna carrier phase to compute the carrier attitude. On the basis of the above, the article puts forward the implement scheme of system software/hardware, which uses the concrete OEM receiver .The system is based on Single Chip Machine and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology and compiles C language program to pick up satellite carrier phase data, almanac data and other data. Finally, we use PC attitude simulation program to calculate the determination data. The experimental results demonstrate that the system is feasible and meet the common required specifications.
