Assessment of petroleum resources is a theoretical, comprehensive and practical work; it is also an important part of the entire petroleum exploration program. Evaluation of basin geological is the first step of parameters to determine in petroleum evaluation, and is the most important step that is the base to determine the parameters of statistical and analogy method, directly determine the reliability of resource evaluation.By targeting different basin types, Comprehensive analysis of the different degree of exploration under the conditions of the evaluation method and Comparative Study, it can fully understand and master the tectonic background, evolution of sedimentary basins, basic oil and gas geological conditions of world’s major sedimentary basin areas. We can summary hydrocarbon accumulation of different types of sedimentary basins, evaluation of the oil and gas resource potential of these sedimentary basins then go its potential sorting, find out the situation in order to shorten the gap with foreign major oil companies on oil and gas analysis of the region of the world’s sedimentary basins and enhance the competitiveness so that we can facilitate and actively take the initiative to obtain a greater share of oil and gas and to establish its own oil and gas production base as much and as soon as possible. This text is study on the European northeast Germany-Poland Basin Petroleum geological features and resources. Germany Northeast States-Portland Basin oil and gas geological conditions and resource evaluation is one part of oil exploration and hospital projects in Europe and the Arctic Petroleum Geology and resource potential. Mainly through the following steps to complete the study of basin:1. Collect and collate information on European regional and basin information Access, compile, collate basic geological information in foreign languages we can have a overall understanding of the geological characteristics of European regional oil.2. Through HIS and USGS, we can make the basin of northeast Germany-Poland evaluation as a precondition, combined with information collected, establish the underlying database for later evaluation.3. To carry out research on the petroleum geology of the basin characteristics, Including basin structural analysis and characteristics of the static elements, ect.4. Basin contains petroleum systems and reservoir combinations, including the classification of Petroleum Systems and its static elements of description, the description of the dynamic elements; and based on the study of petroleum system, divided into the basin reservoir combinations range.5. Resource assessment and forecasting, reservoir combinations for evaluation unit, for each reservoir combinations of crude oil, natural gas, condensate has been discovered resources and undiscovered resources to evaluate and forecast. On completion of the basin study, these methods are mainly used:1. In the literature research, comprehensive analysis, we made an appropriate method process; 2. The process of petroleum geology in the basin, the establishment of a database using Arc GIS software to solve the scattered data and comprehensive analysis of the problem of stitching, and on this platform, a comprehensive analysis and research;3.Using Discovery method, based on statistical probability predicted by the oil and gas resource evaluation unit, to make assessment results more reliable. By the above study, we get the following results:1. Regional geology:The elongated strip of northeast Germany-wave basin located in the north west to south east, lies in Poland and Germany onshore and offshore and the offshore of Denmark. The length from North West to south east of the basin is700km (Between east longitude11°nd22°), the Width from Northeast to southwest is325km.2. Basin evolutions:Northeast Germany-Poland basin began in the Late Carboniferous-Early Permian, it is mainly a development in the Carboniferous foreland basin above the discrete L rift/thermal subsidence sag basin. It is a negative inversion basin. B/Late Permian deposition of a2.5km thick alluvial and wind sedimentary rock and evaporates (red bottom systems) Followed by a1.5km thick Permian top of evaporates and carbonates (magnesium limestone system). A new rift activity happened in Triassic, it continued to late Triassic, forming a series of north-south orientation independent graben. Thermal subsidence took place in Late Triassic to Jurassic, resulting in transgression, and formed shale in the basin center, Epicontinental Sea at the edge and delta sandstone. This type of deposition continued until the end of the Cretaceous (marine shale deposition gradually increase), Which Late Jurassic had experienced a slight deformation.3. Basin static elements characteristics1)Hydrocarbon source rocks:It has confirmed that the main gas source rocks and oil source rocks of the basin is Upper Carboniferous marine shale of the coal seams and magnesium limestone system.2) Reservoir:Reservoir bed that formed in this region is mainly the alluvial deposits of the Lower Permian and wind plot sediment(Oil and gas reservoir) Upper Permian algae dolomite Zechstein system, it mainly includes dolomite(High precision degree of oil and gas reservoir layer).3) Cap rock:The main cap of the red bottom system, magnesium limestone system reservoir and Upper Carboniferous system reservoir is permian magnesium limestone system evaporates (Mainly of rock salt and anhydrite)4) Petroleum system:Basin has two proven petroleum system is Upper Carboniferous-Permian (!) including Petroleum system and Zechstein system-Zechstein system, Triassic (!)including Petroleum system; Assume that the two petroleum systems is in the Paleozoic-Mesozoic (?) including Petroleum system and Lower Paleozoic-Upper Paleozoic, Mesozoic (?) including Petroleum system.5) The identified two petroleum system has divided into two reservoir combinations: check the end of the system forming assemblage and systems of magnesium limestone reservoir combinations.6) After the evaluation of each reservoir combinations resources we can Obtained:The potential exploration of the basin is mainly system of the established permian red bottom system and magnesium limestone reservoir combinations. Although, up till now, we only found a few oil and gas reservoirs in Cenozoic strata, but mature source rocks, reservoir, structural traps and other Accumulation factors of the strata have been found. So it is a potential target.
