With the rapid population growith and expantion of manufacturing came up many problemsin arid area`s inland river basin,such as soil erosion,water pollution,flow cutout,riversediment,ecological deterioration of the environment. As we know,the water resorce shortage,theunreasonable economic structure and population pressure are the main reason which lead to theeological and enwironmental problem in river basin.and the man-land system happen to includeall those aspects indicated above.therefore to solve these problem,we apply the concept ofman-land system.the reason why we choose this system is that,this system is not only one of thecore area of geography research, but also can effectivly solve these problem which take places inarid area`s river basin.abow all the most important reason is that,in this study,we assume theseproblems are mainly caused due to the lack of coordination of the man-land system.so we cancame with the conclusion that,as long as the man-land system`s inner coordination is highenough,we not only can solve those problems,but also can achieve the sustainable management ofriver basin.however, the traditonal river basin management model has been unable to meet thecurrent needs,therefore,the river basin sustainbale management concept from the perspective ofman-land system was came alone.In this paper, we take Qerchen river basin as study area,not only because of it posess themain characteristics of the arid area`s inland river basin,but also it`s obvious contradictionsbetween human and natural.this makes the paper to get more study advantages.We also managed to introduce the man-land system theory into river basin management byapplying both theoretical and practical approaches.so both the context and study method of thispaper can be dividede into four main subsections,the former one is theoretical analysis of aridarea`s inland river basin based on theoretical approach as man-land system. In this step,we canconclude the main unique feature and characteristics of arid area`s inland river basin. by thisway,we get the main strength of the entire study.Man-land system is an organism that consisting many subsystems such as resource-environment and socio-economic subsystem.and these subsystems inner coupledmechanism can directly affect the river basin`s sustainable development. secondly,we can startfrom the subsystems coupled degree, from it`s result we can informed of the temporal condition ofQerchen river basin,in other words the man-land system of this basin is highly uncoordinated,ifdon`t pay more attention,this system will enter a state of collapse. namely,our hypothesis isefficacious,thus for the entire study offers precondition.meanwhile we get the license to continuethe study.thirdly,in support of ArcGIS and other professional software platform, use the man-landrelationship coefficient, take the man-land system theory as a supporting point,combined withremote sensing data and geographic information system techniques,carry through spatialsimulation on several main impact-factors of man-land system, analysis the spatial distributionpattern of the study area. In this subsection,we have knowen that,the most highly contradictionsof man-land relationship areas are mainly located at the eastern reagion.and the Qiemo、Aketikandun、Arele、Qiong kule、Tuogelake is the most highlighted villages of entire studyarea.as a result,this study fruit substantially cut the study way off.meanwhile as the spacialvisualization part of this paper,this section is the most direct、highly targeted、 effective methodsof scientific decision-making for the sustainable river basin management.The model simulation is an effective quantification way of river basin sustainablemanagement.as we told above the man-land system is the main force to solve the problem inQerchen river basin.so, it`s necessary to adopt SD method to manage the river basin.Finally,according the result of spacial visualization section,use the system dynamis asresearch tool, under the help of professional software Vensim PLE,based on each subsystem`scoupling relationship,establish the man-land system dynamic model.the system dynamic modelthat we established could include many subsystems as we indicate in chapter six.at the same timedemonstrate the water and socio-economic subsystem as an example.in the end,Forcast the totalpopulation、total water consumption、agricultural acreage、each industry`s output value、eachindustry`s water consumption of each villages and towns.by setting the different simulation system scheme,through comparative analysis create a general management plannning scheme,plot outthe river basin`s future the maneger can effectively control the various problems that exist in ch`erchen river basin.at last,from all the result that we can get,can be achieved the goal of sustainableriver basin management.it can be said that,the thesis conclusion and suggestions have somereference value of the sustainable management of Qerchen river basin.
