The paper has been tried to seek a way to protect earth resourcesreasonably following by doing the development and utilization of earthsciences through doing researches and quests boost the harmoniousdevelopment of man-land relationship. By doing this, the human societyproductive forces can be improved. And a lot of research results of earthsciences are also revealed through the GEO-maps form, such as RS imagemaps, geological maps, terrain maps, traffic administrative division mapsand so on. The RS technique which is to observe the earth surface ofspace and across to supplementary the disadvantages of traditionaltechnique to access information such as high and low output hasmacro-an overview, dynamic, quick features on land surveys, geologicalhazard investigation, disaster response, environmental, prospecting, general geological researches. The traditional research results of earth sciences is revealed throughX-Y scheme form to express terrain, water system, traffic, geological, resources and environment of space geographic information and Earthscience research. But due to the information are plotted at grade and ithas to be expressed through to X-Y scheme form, 3-DementionalInformation such as terrain landforms information could only be stored in some property such as contour line. It requires readers having certainexpertise to distinguish space property of earth sciences information ofindirectly, and then narrow the range of audiences. The traditionalGEO-maps are professional and have many Secret information such ascontour, so it can be combined traditional two-dimensional geologicalmaps and RS image maps with DEM to form visual stereo diagrams toexpress all kinds of information directly through 3-Dementional from. It ispropitious to reveal professional earth sciences research results andexpand geo-information services by using its property of easy-understandand image-lifelike. But the most important thing is that it can provideservices for administrative decision of national economy construction, social livelihood service, government planning and many othernon-geographical areas. The paper uses traditional 2-Dementional data to form stereo diagramthrough DEM, and then for data fusion with correction of RS image whichmakes 2-dementional GEO-map more stereo. All this works didn’t changethe projection of the earth and diagrams contents. The new diagrammakes changes of topographic directviewing, landscape experiencestronger, the information of earth surface rich, space property ofinformation clear and easier. It can also do all the researches togetherwith traditional 2-dementional GEO-map.The paper uses GIS technique to make experimental analysis ofcomposite overlay based on technology which this paper is planning toresearch on TM, ETM, DEM and SPOT, and then summary out displaymethod of 3-dimensional stereo of geo-information in different scales ofgeosciences. By using the method it can express some space propertysuch as relief amplitude of traditional 2-dimensional GEO-maps, and then make readers open-and-shut distinguish information. The purpose of making GEO-maps is to help humans to use earthresources, resolve problems of resources and environment, and thenprovide sustainable development service for human society. The researchon 3-dimensional GEO-maps is effective means of all non-professionalsmaking analysis of deep mining and further processing and utilization of.The forthcoming three-dimensional in launch a pilot during the 12thFive-Year Plan project mapping and natural disasters that can’tbeseparated from 3-dimensional Stereoscopic display. So does geologicalhazard risk, monitoring of land usage and vegetation coverage and so on.
