ABSTRACT: Nowadays, frequent earthquakes bring too many painful memories to Humans, especially to china, which country is located between Eurasian seismic belt and the Circum-Pacific seismic belt area. At present, the half of the city in China is located in the area where the basic earthquake intensity is seven degrees and even above it, and the city fortification system is still not perfect, although corresponding efforts is being implemented, the ability for earthquake disaster prevention is not optimistic. Along with the national fifteen program, the assessment work of seismic hazard which is based on active fault is being carried out, and this article is take the "the assessment work of seismic hazard which is based on active fault in city area" as the research background, discussed the method of3D numerical simulation system of seismic in a city region.This paper gave a comprehensive discussion of the numerical simulation system, summary and research of underground velocity structure model is the key point, introduce of modeling the Seismic source model and the method of calculating theory is secondary. At the same time, use of this method to simulate the target fault in city area, and the degree of this fault is M6.5. Finally, obtains some computational results and conclusion with this system, and get the hazard zonation map of the city area. For the overall planning of city and engineering seismic work it is a reference basis and evaluation index.
