City geological working can make high point design high standard construction high level administration high efficient running to the city. It has important real life meaning for security of people's estate life improving and city environment reforming. Active fault exploring is one primary subjects of city geological working. As the self reason of city (many building more interference disorder design), it is an experimental challenging creating way to select exploring methods. Anyang city lies at the joint of New Huaxia system active faults of north north-east and north-west west in front of Taihang mountain which has many representative active structures. Anyang city is defined as one of important 21 monitor cities by China earthquake bureau. It has good geological precondition to explore active fault in Anyang city. Earthquake bureau invited us to do some working here.We collected region gravity data to edit 1:100000 map of gravity abnormity ,and concluded regional structure backbone. Shallow seism electrical-method radon etc were carried at the structure place, and physiognomy survey been done. Based on research the result of the pre data the author carefully deal with and explain all acquired geophysical data. 46 broken points were explained from shallow seism, and 66 broken points were got by electrical-method, and 22 abnormities were confirmed by radon. Contrasting and analyzing all the geophysical abnormities, eight credible active faults and thirteen suspicious active faults were differentiated. Except F3 fault in Chixian faults belt acted in later of Quaternary period andSF9 SF10 faults acted laterly pleistocene period, all the faults active time were early and middle pleistocene period, but the active degree were different. The author discussed Cixian east Anyang south Anyang north Anyang north-east Hanlinshan fault belts and analysed all faults active condition from period. At last the author discussed activity character of region crust, and concluded it is a stabilization period for crust only moves slowly up and down.For five years exploration and researching, the author originally investigated primary active faults space condition of Anyang city. It can offer a science support and base data for city design earth using important engineer selecting place defending earthquake reducing disaster. There are many kinds of way to explore active fault but no the mature nowadays. Adopting integrated geophysical exploration can compare and complement each other and can raise the precision and nicety. Last in a word the researching way of this theme can make a reference for other cities out or in province, and it is worth to generalize the value of application.
