In the21st century, the key point is talent. The knowledge staff, as the mainstay of theenterprise, plays an important role in the enterprise. How to improve the knowledge staff's jobperformance so as to win more interest for enterprises, has become to the content of the research ofscholars. Performance structure, as the theory basis of performance management, provides the basisfor all the sections of the performance management, and make the performance managementprocess more scientific and reasonable.But at present, the research of knowledge employee performance has defect, the mainproblems are as follows:(1)There are fewer researches about the knowledge staff's performance, andit can't meet the needs of modern enterprise.(2)Because performance structure has defects and arenot perfect, we can't fully manage the knowledge staff,that will lead the performance can notimprove.This paper has researched systematically to the knowledge staff's performance by empiricalanalysis method. In the specific research process, through researching the domestic and foreignrelevant theory of performance structure and different regions and works of the highly educatedstaffs, so as to analysis the sample date, we finally put forward the hypothesis of five-dimensionsperformance structure, which was named the task performance, relationship performance,personality traits performance, learning performance and innovation performance. The structurewas revised and verified it's correctness by the structure equation model.Through the qualitative and quantitative way, combining the questionnaire survey, factoranalysis, with structural equation model, this study can obtain the final conclusion:(1)The knowledge staff is different from the general staff. We can not consider from singlepart. The knowledge staff's performance includes five dimensions: the task performance,relationship performance, individual characteristics performance, learning performance andinnovation performance.(2)Model structure and sample date have higher fitting degree in the verification factoranalysis, so was proved the five-dimensions performance structure has very high adapter degrees.
