Nowadays, enterprises are always struggling with the quikly-chaning market and fierce competition. This is true, especially for the small and medium enterprises (SMEs), since they have less experience. Corporate entepreneurship (CE) is regarded as an effective meauser to handle the challenges and help enterprises become competitive. Previous research did not pay much attention to the meaursurement of human resource management practices (HRMP) in SMEs, and the mechanism between HRMP and CE. The paper tries to offer more insight on these two issues.The paper aims to deal with the following issues:(1) The content and measurement of HRMP in SMEs.(2) The influence of HRMP on CE, the mediator role of entrepreneurial efficacy, and the moderator role of human resource strength on the relationship between HRMP and CE. The paper came to the measurement of HRMP in SMEs through literature reading, interviews with human resource managers, and questionnaires. Then data were collected from97enterprises and then the paper did analysis to test the relationship between different variables.Several conclusions were drawn:(1) HRMs in SMEs concludes four parts: employee-organization fit, self-management, result-oriented and family-like environment motivation.(2) employee-organization fit, self-management and result-oriented are positively correlated with CE; family-like environment motivation is negatively related to CE.(3) Entrepreneurial efficacy mediates the effect of HRMP on CE.(4) Human Resouce Strength does not moderate the effect of HRMP on CE.The paper contributes to the features of HRMP in SMEs as well the mechanism between HRMP and CE. Besides, the conclusions can guide entrepreneurs to promote CE through HRMP.
