With the rapid development of E-commerce, the online payment and E-commerce is growing fast. The occurrence of third-party payment platform, to some extent, solved the problems that exist in online payment such as the safety and the credibility. Besides, it braked through the bottleneck that hinder the development of online payment. As an important part of E-commerce, the reform of online payment promote the E-commerce's booming. On September 1,2010, non-financial institution payment service management approach began implemented to strengthen the supervision of the third-party payment companies. And the guidance of policy offered great opportunities and challenges for the third-party payment platform. Research on third-party payment has important practical significance at such an important turning point.Firstly this thesis introduces the concept and the status of third-party payment platform. Then, using asymmetric information theory and game theory to confirm that third-party payment platform can partially solve online payment credit problems. And next, this thesis analyze third-payment platform from a totally new perspective of two-sided market and deepens the understanding of third-party payment platform, provides more relevant basis for government to formulate policies. Finally, this thesis gives some suggestions on the problems of third-party payment platform in our country.
