Boutique hotel as a new hotel format, is a challenge to the traditional star hotel and now becomes the target of the elite who have a high-income and high-grade. Althought the boutique hotel industry has become the hotspots of investment and its advantage has become apparent, the industry management lacks preparation to the new form of business and the academic world is just the beginning of the elaborate of it, the research on boutique hotel's development and management is not comprehensive.This paper generalizes the characteristic of the boutique hotel and attempt to give an initial definition combing the development of the boutique hotel's development all over the world. Through the analysis on the present situation and the influential factors, this paper points out the boutique hotel's advantage and the problem, put forward the strategy and direction of the development of the boutique hotel,provide guidance on theory formulation and practical operation.Through the analysis, I believe that the boutique hotel's management strategy should be the positioning, management mode and marketing strategy. Starting from strategic location, the market orientation and the brand localization, we can make sure the boutique hotel's position in the industry development.Outsourcing strategy with the resources and service pattern and innovation in philosophy as a masterpiece of hotel management. In marketing strategies, we can expand the market through the same thought and spot-face and network marketing.In addition, there are some misconceptions in the development of the boutique hotel, I hope I can offer some ideas to researchers and directors of the boutique hotel.
