The Research Between The Financial Development And Economic Growth In Jinan

The international financial crisis burst out in 2008 brought tremendous tragedies to the world economy, and accordingly, it makes the relationship between financial development and economic growth become one of the focus issues concerned by people. This paper takes Jinan as the sample to investigate the relationship between financial development and economic growth.In recent years, the financial industry of Jinan has developed rapidly, business scale has enlarged constantly, structure system has perfected continually, reformation and innovation have promoted constantly, and the construction of regional financial center has obtained actively progress. As the provincial capital and the regional center city which is under construction, from the aspect of financial development, Jinan both has the characteristics of the nationwide financial development and the characteristics of its own. Under the background of international financial crisis, how to fully utilize the financial resources of Jinan for advancing the rapid increase of the economy in Jinan is a worth thinking task. Consequently, it has certain realistic meanings and practical meanings of this paper taking Jinan as the sample to investigate the relationship between financial development and economic growth.For the relationship between financial development and economic growth, there are a lot of corresponding researches from home and abroad. A good many scholars summarize many different conclusions based on different hypotheses and different research models.Under the foundation of arranging, analyzing and summarizing a large number of references concerning the relationship between financial development and economic growth from home and abroad, this paper integrates the rapid development of Jinan in recent years, and takes the data of the financial development and economic growth from 2001 to 2010 as the study object. From the two aspects of the depth and efficiency of the financial development, this paper comprehensively weighs the development level of the financial industry in Jinan. Among which, the index of financial depth will weigh from the three aspects, which are the development depth of banking industry, the development depth of securities industry and the insurance depth; considering the financial development of Jinan is dominated by banking industry, the measure of financial efficiency refers to the research results of Wang Zhiqiang and Sun Gang (2003), and weighs the efficiency of financial intermediary transforming the saving into investment by the ratio of loan and saving, namely, FE=outstanding performer/outstanding obligation. This paper selects the GDP of Jinan as the index of weighing the economic growth of Jinan. In the part of case study, this paper exerts the method of chart analysis to study the relationship between financial development and economic growth in Jinan, and obtains that the financial development and the economic growth in Jinan are interrelated.Under the foundation of positive analysis, this paper adopts the method of comparative analysis, and compares Jinan and four regional center cities from the aspects of financial development and economic growth. Through the comparative analysis, we can further recognize the advantages and disadvantages of Jinan in the aspects of financial development and economic development, and accordingly, we can provide more pertinent and more powerful theoretical supports for promoting the economic growth in Jinan. In the end, this paper combines the actual situation of Jinan, puts forward the reference suggestions of financial development to promote the economic growth, which mainly include:vigorously advance the development of the banking industry, actively promote the development of the capital market, accelerate the promotion of the insurance market development, extensively process the cooperation of the regional finance, actively drive the financial innovation, further optimize the financial ecological environment, and. dissolve the regional financial risks.
