For FMCG industry, economic globalization has made the business environment becomes increasingly complex, which brings a great impact on the traditional supply chain, it is very difficult for the enterprise to continue develop itself with the ideas of mass batch, small batch and single species, research on how to use the modem management and information technology for supply chain integration, improve operational efficiency, and reduce the cost of enterprise has already become the focus attention of enterprises and an inevitable choice for competitive advantage. At present, in the FMCG industry most of studies on supply chain management and integration is for the information coordination problem between manufacturers and consumers, namely, mainly in the downstream supply chain. Study is little on the upstream supply chain, the part between manufacturers and suppliers. As an open business language,GS1system is an international standard of supply chain, and play an important role on electronic commerce, supply chain coordination, information sharing and so on. Therefore, the research on the usage of GS1system on the upstream supply chain integration in FMCG industry is of great significance. With the FMCG industry as the background, and through theoretical analysis method, system analysis method and model analysis method, this paper gives a deep research on the development course, technical system and application of GS1system. Combined with the current state of upstream supply chain integration management in FMCG industry, the paper proposed a upstream supply chain integration model based on the GS1system, with the GS1barcode identification and GS1ecom technology as the basis, provides a method to achieve business process and information collaboration, improve upstream supply chain efficiency and reduce the cost of operation. The paper includes figures38, tables15and references35.
