The Research And Practice Of Project Management In Ningbo Electric Power Design Institute

Along with chinese social and economic development, higher requirements were demangeg to the electric power construction. Accordingly, the level of electric power design institutes'technology and management should be improved correspondingly. These practical problems should be solved urgently in the electric power design institutes.The necessary of implementing the modern concept of project management in many electric power design enterprises on the basis of Project Management theory was depicted in the paper. Through the combination of some common characteristics of project management of the design vocation, Ningbo Electric Power Design Institute(NBEPDI) was taken as an example to do a systematic analysis of the main problems including manager mode, technology of project management,system of project management and enterprise organization . NBEPDI's market environment, social and economic environment, characteristics of the products and the procedure of design were studied as well. To solve the problems existed in the production-organization, communication of the project information and project control procedure, proposals that the enterprise should set the long-dated goal, practise the Matrix organization, establish the rules and regulations about project management, and develop the statistic system of the resource ration of the designing-procedure were proposed. Finally, a good idea was put forward that the funtions and limits of all levels in the NBEPDI's project management organizations, detail scheme of whole project management procedure, probes into some project control schemes about plan,quality and cost,and the performance evaluation mode.According to the evaluation of project management in practice,the paper makes some suggestions for electric power design institutes'project management.
