The beginning of this century, China's automobile industry entered the stage of explosive growth, China's total car sales in 2010 to 18.06 million, has become the world's largest car market. But there is no one Chinese auto corporate which can come into top 3 of motor industry in the world's rank. So, what the most concerning topic for China is how to lead Chinese auto enterprises closing to the worldwide auto magnate, and how to develop the car business of Chinese automobile company. In 2010, SAIC, as a China's leading automobile corporate which reached to 3.58 million cars in sales ranked the eighth in the world. This paper expects to bring some inspiration or reference to China's auto companies by researching and analyzing the business development strategy of SAIC.Based on the analysis of the development status and trends of global and Chinese automotive industry, this paper which combines with SAIC's actual situation formulates the overall development strategy of SAIC by analyzing the corporate's car management environment with PEST method and EFE model, as well as by studying the advantage and weakness of SAIC automobile business and the opportunities and risks. Mean while. The use of four-dimensional form of competitive strategy that determines the business competitive strategy within the product competition. Moreover, this article analyzes the situation and trends of the division subdivision-market and product combination, and then makes the development planning of product combination with BCG matrix and ensures the strategy priority with QSPM matrix. Finally, in order to ensure that SAIC overall strategic objectives, this paper makes the associated value chain optimization, optimization of the organizational structure, human resources, company culture and so on.
