The Empirical Study On Effects Of OFDI From China Based On HOme Country

Overseas foreign direct investment in China began in the late 70s of 20 century, during the 30 years of development; China's OFDI went through the initial stages of slowly development to the recent rapid growth presently. And every level of politic organization in China pay more and more attentions to the motivation polices of investing outside, apparently, OFDI seems to be playing important role in promote the development of China's economics. Domestic enterprises are facing a broader and more transparent competition arena. The impacted factors such as economic development, exports, economic structure and investment policy components play an important part in proposing the development of outward FDI in China.This paper divides the history of China's OFDI development into three parts according to the characteristics displaying in the three periods and the changes of the policies to OFDI. According to China's overseas investment enterprises under different periods of changes in foreign direct investment policies, combined with characteristics of China's OFDI phase of development ,study the scale of investment, investors , the investment industry and investment position of the characteristics shown in different periods of China's OFDI. We us time-series data of every variable from 1979 to 2008, in the establishment of multiple linear regression model based on cluster analysis and Grey combined analysis, and ultimately determine the level of economic development, economic structural component factors, the investment motivation factors, external factors affecting the economic opening of China's foreign direct investment mainly. The results suggest that the 20th century, after 1990s, China's foreign direct investment policy on OFDI statistically significant to promote the OFDI development. Per capita GDP level of development, total exports, energy consumption, economic factors and the number of anti-dumping cases encountered by China played different level of role in the different periods.
