As the going-out strategy and the"The Belt and Road" have been raised and implemented,China's outward foreign direct investment(OFDI)has been characterized by network connection in the aspects of international production network, international marketing network and international innovation network, etc. The number of China's outward foreign direct investment stock and host countries is increasing.Investment industry expands, and investment mode is increasingly diversified. After reviewing the related research both at home and abroad, this thesis applies social network analysis to empirically test the spatial association of China' s OFDI in countries along "The Belt and Road" and its influencing factors from the spatial perspective with a focus on China's foreign direct investment in order to providing certain references for the future direction, strategy and policy formulation of OFDI in countries along "The Belt and Road".This thesis first summarizes and evaluates the related literatures of foreign direct investment at home and abroad, concludes the achievement and inadequacy of the existing research, and points out the significance and value of this study. Then,in the study of spatial correlation, this thesis selects 42 countries along "The Belt and Road"as empirical research samples, and constructs spatial correlation network of China' s OFDI in countries along "The Belt and Road" by using the gravity model method, and analyses the characteristics of the index of network and block model; Finally,in the study of influencing factors, this thesis hypothesizes that OFDI space relationship is mainly influenced by 6 factors:host country's actual GDP,host country's per capital GDP,host country's resource abundance, host country's technology level, and home country export and geographical distance. This thesis has empirically tested the influencing factor of the spatial association of China's OFDI in countries along "The Belt and Road" using the QAP analysis. The study finds that 1)from the perspective of the overall network structure,China' s OFDI is spatially correlated, but numerical network density is not high, and there is still much room for promotion of network layout;2)from the perspective of the characteristics of individual network structure, the TOP 5 countries, according to the total number of related relations, benefit associations and indegree centrality are Qatar,United Arab Emirates,Israel,Kuwait and Saudi Arabia which are also in the center of the OFDI spatial association network;3)block model analysis shows that the OFDI spatial correlation network can be divided into 4 plates with gradient feature;4)according to the results of QAP analysis, the geographical distance has a promoting effect on the formation of spatial association network. However, the feature of OFDI's"two motivations and one orientation"(Market, technology seeking motivation and trade orientation)has an inhibitory effect on the formation of spatial correlation network.Driven by the feature of market, technology seeking motivation and trade orientation,China's OFDI is likely to gather in countries with large market potential, high technical level and more trade contacts, which is unfavorable for the formation of space related networks. Finally, this thesis puts forward the relevant suggestions of optimizing the spatial layout of China' s OFDI in countries along "The Belt and Road".
