Research On The Impact Of Industrial Restructuring On Employment Structure And Countermeasures

Transforming the way of economic development is the long-term development strategy of China. The transformation of economic development will surely lead to the optimization and upgrade of industrial structure, and meanwhile, the employment structure will also need certain change, so as to adjust to the industrial structure adjustments. Thus, the problem of employment issues is particularly thorny.Currently, China is in a historical stage of strategic adjustment, while intensifying the adjustment of industrial structure, this country is undergoing the transformation period. However, the adjustment of industrial structure will inevitably lead to the change of occupational pattern, so the employment situation is not so promising. With the development of the emerging industry, demand on labor with high quality is increasing. Though the conventional labor-intensive industry still attracts great number of labors, with the adjustment of industrial structure, labor with low quality will be expelled and even lead to the situation of structural unemployment, i.e. coexistence of vacant posts and unemployment. Therefore, it is vital to grasp the influence rules of industrial structural adjustment on employment structure. Following this and the development trend of economy in China, we can achieve the purpose of synchronous development in economy and employment. On the basis of former research, the thesis paper put forward countermeasures for the purpose of synchronous development in economy and employment, by analyzing the relation between industrial structure adjustment and change of employment structure.With theoretical research and empirical analysis, the research of the paper is divided into four parts. The first part analyses the basic concepts on industrial structure and employment, so as to clarify the definition and related theories, as well as evolution of industrial structure. The second part mainly provides analysis on the interaction between industrial structure and employmen structure .The third part, which deeply researches the effect of industrial structure of employment, mainly analyses three-industrial structures and corresponding employment structures. Through data analysis, the conclusion is drawn that industrial structures and employment structures were unbalanced and that the flexibility of general and three-industry employment is too low, so that a solution to broaden employment was found. The fourth part put forward several countermeasures on how to promote employment, based on the general characteristics of economic development, trend of industrial structure adjustment, and the change of employment structure.
