Empirical Study On The Impact Exercised By FDI In Producer Service Industry On Economy Of Jiangsu Province

With the deepening of the globalization of economic and social division, foreign direct investment in producer services industry has developed rapidly. Jiangsu, as one of the province in china where FDI entails great development, whether its development plays a positive role in the economic growth is what this paper wants to do research in. The present paper first introduces the research background of the FDI in producer services, including the related concepts, characteristics and the industry development status of producer services. Then according to the data of the FDI in producer services of Jiangsu Province and other industry from 1998 to 2009, the paper attempt to examine the relationship between producer services FDI and the economic growth of Jiangsu Province by empirical analysis, and if FDI in producer services industry and economic growth is most closely related. After that, this paper researches in the role it plays in the economic growth and the specific mechanisms. Finally, based on the results of the empirical analysis, the paper put forward some suggestion to further development concerning the current status of the FDI in the producer service industry in Jiangsu Province so as to play a greater role in its economic growth.
