| With the deepening of the Western Development Strategy in China, the central government proposed the conception of establishing"a big triangle"in the western region of China, which aimed to set up the fourth economy growth pole and to promote the development of western China."The big triangle"discussed in this article is an economic zone covering Chongqing, Sichuan and Shaanxi provinces. An excellent industrial cluster is indispensible for the establishment of a growth pole. With the combination of the methods of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, this article tries to select the most favorable government sectors for the economic growth of the region. This article also made recommendations to the future development for the priority sectors, which would be significant for the establishing of the fourth growth pole in China.This article firstly makes a literature review of the related theories both at home and abroad, like regional economic theory, theory of investment multiplier effect, theory of industrial relevancy and convergence theory. These reviews are the basic theories and further confirm the ideas of the selection of priority sectors. Secondly, the current situation of the Westen-triangle is also analyzed in terms of industrial distribution, policy guidance, the current situation of industrial parks, industrial comparative advantages, industrial infrastructure etc., which lays both macro and micro foundation for polices making. Thirdly, by introducing the calculation principle and calculation results of the multiplier effect of investment, industry association analysis, convergence analysis and grey relational analysis, the article decides the sectors of priority. At last, the article puts forward proposals for the future development of the priority sectors in the Western Triangle. |
