| Dangshan, a county located in the northern part of Anhui Province, is known as "the Capital of Pears". It is famous for its Dangshan-crisp pears and is the largest county of fruit processing in China. With national policy guidance and support, Dangshan pear industry has developed rapidly, In recent years, cultivated area has been constantly augmenting, and the output has continued to rise. However, inconsistent with the huge scale of production, logistics level is relatively low. There exist many prominent problems, such as unreasonable logistics network system, serious loss during the process of distribution, high logistics cost, poor profits, weak value-added processing, and weak competition in the market. Many reasons cause such situation happen, including historical reasons, management system reasons and technical reasons. Currently, backward logistics of Dangshan pear industry is mainly caused by irrational network, irregular logistics process, low-level logistics technology and government's inadequate support and guidance. Fruit logistics in China is at the initial stage both in theory and practice, which has become a weak link and bottleneck in the development of fruit industry, seriously restricting profit improvement of the entire fruit industry chain. Therefore, studying the logistics of Dangshan pear industry is helpful to provide reference for logistics of agricultural products, especially fruits, in underdeveloped areas.Firstly, this thesis studies related theories and status of logistics and agricultural products logistics. Agricultural products logistics, a branch of logistics industry, is an important component of modern logistics. Well-developed agricultural products logistics system and perfect market system are important guarantee for the development of modern agriculture. This thesis tries to combine modern logistics concepts with the characteristics of Dangshan pears in order to improve the theory of agricultural products logistics, and therefore better guide the practice of regional agricultural products logistics.Secondly, this thesis analyzes the economic situation of Dangshan pears and the overview of Dangshan pear industry logistics. The background of Dangshan pear industry, such as acreage, yield, price, marketing methods and regions is analyzed in details. According to the development status of Dangshan pear industry, the thesis proposes the basic direction and trends of its future economic development. It also analyzes the general situation of the logistics of Dangshan pears from such aspects as logistics needs, transportation, plant distribution, market construction, storage, processing and informatization construction and gives an overview of existing four basic modes of Dangshan pears logistics.Thirdly, based on empirical investigation, the thesis analyzes specific problems of Dangshan pears logistics. The first problem is lack of adequate understanding of the significance of Dangshan pears logistics and insufficient investment. The second one is imperfect logistics subject and low-level organization and scale. The third problem is that smooth flow of material can not be achieved due to backward logistics infrastructure and unreasonable logistics network system. The fourth one is that logistics information system has not been effectively established and the level of informatization is rather low, resulting in high logistics cost but poor profits. The last problem is that there is the lack of logistics professionals and management policies are inefficient.Fourthly, on the basis of the study mentioned above, the thesis puts forward the concept of Dangshan pear logistics system planning. It analyzes the factors that affect the logistics nodes, creates the node layout of Dangshan pear logistics system, builds the basic mode of logistics system operation and proposes suggestions for the formation of logistics subsystem.Finally, according to the problems existing in Dangshan pear logistics, this thesis puts forward relevant policy recommendations and specific measures in order to realize the system planning and further development of Dangshan pear logistics. |
