China is one of the biggest producing countries for chemical fiber. After joining WTO, chemical fiber production is faced with increasing furious competition. How to improve enterprise's core competitiveness rapidly? One of the most important is to drive industrialization by informationization, speed up informationization progress and take a new road to industrialization. Chemical fiber processing enterprise is a key link for industrialization to influence on integrity and efficient running of all the chemical fiber industrial chain, and is am important way to promote enterprise development and enhance economic performanceTo speed up enterprise informationization construction, China started in 1980s to introduce DCS/ERP system. DCS/ERP (Enterprise Resource planning) emphasize on using information technology to integrate and coordinate logistics, fund flow and information flow, accordingly, to optimize the whole system. Although DCS/ERP and site automatic system have been mature, they mainly serve for top management, not supply direct and detail support for workshop level management. There emerged an information faultage between DCS/ERP system and site automatic system.Jimont Acrylic Fiber Company introduced DCS (Distributed Control System) in 2006. DCS is a bonded product coming from computer, system control, network communication and multimedia technology. It is sophisticated equipment to complete process control and management, supplied with human-computer interface with friendly window and strong communication function. DCS system has the features of expandability and scalablility and JM adopted MES system in order to upgrade informatization system.I managed plan and implement of MES project for JM Company. The textual importance lies in discussing MES feasibility for chemical fiber enterprise, researching on MES application based on MES system location, function structure, planned management and quality management modules design and development; in order to monitor the whole course from raw material entering until production to be put in storage, to record time, operator, machine, and material information of every working process, production testing data, and after analyzed by MES system to present in real time the report forms about production schedule, finish ratio, quality to make the production transparent; to optimize chemical fiber enterprise resource configuration and make a"visible factory".Therefore, this thesis will bring in advanced informatization management technique, improve work efficiency in enterprises, and reach the target to data acquisition automation, IT application in production and operating management, integrative control and management. The MES system architecture will provide theoretical basis and practical experience for popularizing and applying MES informatization in chemical fiber industry, have significant meaning for social productivity development.
