Procurement And Warehouse Management Strategic Analysis Of LT Company

Material purchasing and warehouse management is an important component in modern enterprise. The efficiency of material purchasing and warehouse management have been gradually become the main contradiction in enterprise management and also one of the main measures for companies to reduce their cost and improve their competitiveness under new circumstance. As one of the large state-owned enterprises in the area of communication operation, LT company has great difficult in materials purchase and inventory control for its wide network allocation, redundancy management layers and superabundance production unit that lead the purchasing and warehouse management hold a very important position in LT company. In addition to this, there also exist certain problems in the respect of material purchasing points, materials matching, ways of storage and delivery. Some helpful suggestions have been made in this paper to solve those problems above.The ideological system and theoretical knowledge in the aspect of logistics management, procurement strategies and warehouse management are analyzed respectively in this paper, through the research of the existing material purchasing and inventory management,the supply and demand characteristic and practical experience of LT company, this paper points out the existing problems of the system of purchasing and warehouse management and draws the conclusion that the company should take initiatives to transform itself from conventional purchasing mode to cross procurement coordinated management mode, from scattered inventory to the joint stock concentrated inventory by establishing joint regional logistics base and corresponding developing strategy to optimize its material purchasing and management processes as well as to enhance the efficiency of purchasing, storage and resource utilization of their company.
