The Research On Container Transportation Development Of YICT

With the global cargo containerization and the development of global integrated logistics services, as the node of the integrated transport-logistics chains, Port's function gradually diversified to provide customers with full rang of value-added services. At present, global container transportation grows rapidly, the average annual growth rate is twice than the rate of economic growth. The service capabilities of container transportation in a port indirectly reflect the overall competitiveness of the port. Major ports, especially the major container ports constantly look for distinctive port services to attract domestic and foreign customers so that they are in a favorable position. As natural deep water harbor, YICT has made outstanding contributions to promote the economy of Shenzhen and south China. In order to promote the container transportation of YICT in the increasingly fierce competition, this paper does research from the following aspects.Firstly, on the basis of analyzing the research of container transportation in domestic and international, we make simple instruction of the characteristics and the advantages of modern container transportation. At last, we forecast the container transportation trend in the future at the basement that we summarize the present situations of the container transportation worldwide and from China.Secondly, we summarize the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges of YICT in developing container transportation by analyzing the internal and external environment using strategic methods. We forecast the container throughput in the next few years using the binary regression analysis and the time series analysis respectively. Then, we use the SSE of the two methods making out their weights so that we can forecast the final trend of YICT container transportation comprehensively.Thirdly, we propose corresponding recommendations for the development of container transportation in YICT on the basis of determining their goals and priorities.
