In the construction management area, the project team model is gradually adopted by the project participate as integrated project delivery become popular in this area. But at present, the study on team performance in construction team is still immature compared to enterprise performance evaluation system, which need much more research. The purpose of paper is to research on the critical index of construction project team based on balanced scorecard and structural equation model. In this research, the paper innovatively adopted the balanced scorecard into construction project management, which is usually used in enterprise management. This paper is based on the following four aspects of balanced scorecard: financial perspective, stakeholder perspective, internal processes perspective, knowledge sharing and growth perspective. A conception model is proposed to measure construction team performance and six hypothesizes are proposed to this model. The Likert scale is designed to evaluate the indexes in the model. Based on the survey data, the SEM method is proposed for assessment of uncertain weights of different factors and distinguishing of the critical indexes in the balanced scorecard of project team. The result of this empirical research show that the internal processes perspective and the knowledge sharing and growth perspective are fundamental and influential factors of the stakeholder and financial perspectives. What's more, the main critical indexes and evaluate indexes are described in the result. The conclusions of this research would provide some inspiration to the team building and performance evaluation in construction project.
