| With China's"Going Abroad" strategy being proposed and being implemented, China's overseas project also had a rapid development. With rapid expansion of the overseas project scale, the risk of overseas project is also being more and more high. And because of more and more competition on the overseas project market, less and less profit space can be remained to the company. EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) mode, as the most popular project mode at present, has been widely adopted at the overseas projects. Through the analysis to the mode of EPC, we found that besides the apparent conventional factors, such as engineering, procurement and construction, there is also an important factor, which is the project management process. Doing well of the project management work will have a crucial effect on doing well of EPC projects. PMC (Project Management Contractor) mode is new project management and contracting mode which is focusing on project management.PMC, as a high level service mode, the creative application of which will have great value added point on the project. This article tries to expand the successful idea of Mr. Steve Jobs, the late CEO of Apple, and to do well the second industry work by idea of third industry.This article deals with the PMC project management work and EPC project's execution work as a relationship of the third industry and the second industry. And the article explores the value added point on management, coordination, general control, intelligence, information and etc., analyses how the PMC work makes the projects with value added through integrating the industry chain of upstream and downstream matters and works. PMC project management has a lot of development potential, but it is also with risk. This article takes some risk analysis to some project cases, and obtains some risk point on PMC project management. And then the article puts forward a series of innovative ways to overcome the risk on project management. |
