Research On Operations Management Improvement Of Natconn Company

Nowadays global economy become integrative and chinese economy develop continuously, the theory of the production and operations management progress rapidly, the division of labour in enterprises is more and more frequently and specialize, any one poor segment in operations management will result in low efficiency with overall operations sysytem. Shenzhen Natconn Electronic Co., Ltd. was established in 2003. From the opening of the company ,its turnover climps year after year. But recently the achivements of the enterprise decline sharply, the company cannot arrange the shipment on time and the quantity of the orders from the customers decrease dramatically. The Management of the company was informed of this suitation and they think it was critical for the company to reform in operations management.Through deeply investigation with the operations flow and production planning, the thesis gave elaborately analysis with the current situation and problems of the operations management in the Natconn company. The thesis brought forward a series of improvement suggestions for the company to enhance its competitivity by incorporating and application of the advanced production management theories. Firstly, it provided examples and theories for the company to calculate the standard output, perform orders review, assign the different orders with different priority, and control the progress of the prodcution planning. Secondly, it provided examples and theories for the company to forecast the demands from the market and from the customers, and gave the practice of ERP system building. Lastly, the thesis offered vivid solutions for company to control the level of the inventory for the raw material and semi-products by model of Economic ordering quantity (EOQ) and economic production lot(EPL).
