Aerospace industry is one of the state's strategic high-tech industries as wellas an important sign of comprehensive national power. Satellite applicationindustry (SAI), as the most important part of aerospace industry, plays a pivotalrole in the development of the global aerospace industry. The development ofaerospace industry in developed countries shows that the proportion of SAI inaerospace industry exceeds 80% and increases significantly. For the more andmore obvious comprehensive benefits of SAI, our country pays a closer attentionto the development of it and issues a series of policies and measures. Thesepolicies and measures promote the development of SAI which focuses onsatellite communication, navigation and remote sensing. A complete industrychain is also established, which facilitates to serve national economy.This paper introduced the development of satellite application market inChina first. Then, based on abundant domestic and overseas materials and thecurrent situation of the market, its growing trend was forecasted and themacro-environment was analyzed carefully. At last, in accordance with the actualsituation of China Academy of Space Technology, the goal and direction of itsfuture development were defined and specific strategies and measures wereprovided, which could facilitate a healthy and rapid development for thecompany and helpful references for other firms.
