As the time going, the environment problem has been becoming more and more serious. So, international convention requested every country to set a target of reducing carbon emissions. In this condition, China has promised that China will reduce the proportion of the fossil fuels in the energy consumption from 75% to 60% in the next decade. So China will increase investment to the construction of hydraulic, wind, nuclear, solar power and other non-fossil fuels. In the "12 5" energy plan, China will add 0.1GW in the next 5 years. It means that the construction of hydraulic power station will reach its construction peak. Generally, recession comes after boom. So, hydraulic power station construction companies how to develop in the booming time and can operate well after boom is the target of this thesis.This thesis chooses A company as the research goal. A company is a hydraulic power construction company. The company's external environment had been analyzed with the PEST and Porter's five power analysis tools. The company's internal environment also had been analyzed with the value chain analysis and other analysis tools. Then the businesses which the company has engaged in such as hydraulic power station construction, wind, nuclear power station construction business, railway construction business were analyzed with Internal and External Matrix Analysis tool and Grand Strategy Matrix Analysis tool. Based on the result of these analysis, the strategy of the company was proposed. It is that the company should adopt relative diversification strategy and Internationalization strategy. Only in this way, the company can avoid the threat of the recession of the domestic hydraulic power plants construction in the future.
