| Target Corporation is a comprehensive retailer based in North America. Target's primary business is hypermarket and shopping mall business. Target Corporation boomed dramatically during 1980-2000, and now it is one of the Fortune 500 companies. As a large and successful retailer in the world, Target has an excellent supply chain system, so it can be strong and profitable in a short time. Target's supply chain system is worthwhile to analyze and research to help China's developing retailer companies to reach success. We firstly quote some supply chain method, and then we try to analyze and research the whole supply chain system of target. We could find the high efficiency, informatization, globalization and low cost of this system. Finally, we will research two problems of Target supply chain and figure out solutions. Bullwhip problem and Logistics problem will be researched, and we will find solutions to them: using new trading terms and layout new information system. Due to the lack of data and broken of information, solutions are not fully effective, we need to apply it to reality and get more date. In that way, we can perfect solutions. |
